Chemical and Environmental Engineering

Minors

All undergraduate students who would like to declare an engineering minor must have Advanced Standing, with a C or better in Calculus I.

Chemical Engineering Minor

To complete an undergraduate minor in chemical engineering, you must complete 18 units with a minimum GPA of 2.0. At least 9 units must be upper-division (300- or 400-level) courses, and 3 units must be taken in residence at the University of Arizona.

Requirements for the Chemical Engineering Emphasis

  1. All of the following three courses: CHEE 201, CHEE 203 and CHEE 420.
  2. One of the following two courses: CHEE 303 or CHEE 305.
  3. An additional 3 units from any upper-division CHEE courses.

Environmental Engineering Minor

To complete an undergraduate minor in environmental engineering, you must complete 19 units with a minimum GPA of 2.0. At least 9 units must be upper-division (300- or 400-level) courses, and 3 units must be taken in residence at the University of Arizona.

Requirements

  1. At least 10 units from the following four courses: CHEE 295E, CHEE 370R, CHEE 476A or CHEE 476B.
  2. An additional 9 units from the following ten courses: CHEE 400R, CHEE 477R, CHEE 473, CHEE 474, CHEE 478, CHEE 480, CHEE 481A, CHEE 482, CHEE 569A or CHEE 569B.
